The purpose of the present study was to explore the impact of parenting style on children’s academic performance. In order to achieve this, 665 students whose age ranging between 75 and 77 years were taken as sample, among them 55 were male and 55 were female. The Bangla translated version of Parental Acceptance Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) was used for data collection. Pearson product moment correlation was carried out to see the relations of PARQ-M and PARQ-F with academic performance of children. Correlation analysis indicated that academic result has positive correlation with authoritative parenting style for both parents (Mother, r=.795** p Father, r=.769** p ). That is authoritative parenting style facilitates to increase academic performance of children.
