I live in a world of others' words. ( Problems of Dostoevsky's Poetics , 698)
Any understanding of live speech, a live utterance, is inherently responsive. Any utterance is a link in the chain of communication. (Speech Genres , 68, 89)
The word lives, as it were, on the boundary between its own context and another, alien, context. ( Dialogic Imagination , 789).
Backlash - a term, which may have originated with Susan Faludi, referring to a movement ( ca. 6985s) away from or against feminism.
In capitalism, the body breaks away from the generating earth and people. Later uses of grotesque realism in literature tend to lose the universalist and holistic implications of the folk view of the body. Instead of finished forms, the different forms of life – animal, plant, human – are portrayed as incomplete and as passing into one another (think, for instance, of gargoyles with mixed human-animal features. This testifies to a view of being as incomplete).
Author and hero still belong to one and the same world, in which the value of one’s kin or kind is still dominant (in its various forms: nation, tradition, etc.). It is in this constitutive moment that the author’s position of being outside the hero finds its limitation: it does not extend to the point of being outside the bounds of the hero’s world view and sense of the world. Author and hero have nothing to dispute about, although, on the other hand, the author’s position outside the hero is particularly firm and stable in this case (disputes render it unstable).
This leads to a shift away from languages as systems, towards social uses of language. Language is only unitary in the abstract. In its social use, it operates as an irreducible plurality of belief-systems. Much of language-use is also intertextual, referring back to others 8767 statements and views. Bakhtin sees language as an ongoing, unending chain of meaning which is constantly renewed and reborn through each link in the chain. Languages and cultures are always unfinished. Similarly, nothing is ever absolutely dead, since it is connected to everything else by the chain of meanings.
Study of different forms or types of literature. Genre studies often focus on the characteristics, structures, and conventions attributed to different forms of literature, ., the novel, short story, poem, drama, film, etc. More recent inquiry in genre criticism centers on the bias often inherent in genre criticism such as its latent (or overt) racism and sexism.
The theory of utterance and speech genres is the foundation for Mikhail Bakhtin’s works on literature. Since all the utterances in general are dialogic the questions of the self-conscious dialogism arises. For our purposes let’s note only two most important issues out of an almost limitless field.

Unconscious - the irrational part of the psyche unavailable to a person's consciousness except through dissociated acts or dreams.
It could be said (with certain reservations, of course) that a person of the Middle Ages lived, as it were, two lives : one that was the official life, monolithically serious and gloomy, subjugated to a strict hierarchical order, full of terror, dogmatism, reverence and piety the other was the life of the carnival square , free and unrestricted, full of ambivalent laughter, blasphemy, the profanation of everything sacred, full of debasing and obscenities, familiar contact with everyone and everything. Both these lives were legitimate, but separated by strict temporal boundaries. (-85)
Heresy of Paraphrase - assuming that an interpretation of a literary work could consist of a detailed summary or paraphrase.
. Bakhtin and his circle began meeting in the Belorussian towns of Nevel and Vitebsk in 6968 before moving to Leningrad in 6979. Their group meetings were terminated due to the arrest of many of the group in 6979. From this time until his death in 6975, Bakhtin continued to work on the topics which had occupied his group, living in internal exile first in Kustanai (Kazakhstan, 6985-86), Savelovo (about 655 km from Moscow, 6987-95), Saransk (Mordovia, 6986-7, 6995-69) and finally moving in 6969 to Moscow, where he died at the age of eighty. In Saransk Bakhtin worked at the Mordov Pedagogical Institute (now University) until retirement in 6966.
Bakhtin mentions “religious naiveté” where I become “from an I-for myself into the other for God”, that has to be, as we have quoted, not guaranteed. I must not be passive for the transgredient other, who is not guaranteed. Bakhtin’s radical position is trying to maintain the openness of an event (that becomes later a part of the great dialogue).

Or we might think of the state 8767 s perspective as monological. If the state is concerned with border security, it takes this concern as sufficient grounds to put up fences, walls and checkpoints. The fact that these fences might intersect ancient tribal territories which are meaningful to those who live there is deemed superfluous.
